  1. nice website!

  2. Hi!

    Where am I?

  3. Hello just wondering if there are any jobs going in the theatre? Ushers etc?

  4. can you please post reviews and production photos for CONFUSIONS on your site?

  5. I came to see Pirates of Penzance last Tuesday (21 July 09) and was firstly pleased to receive such a warm welcome from Sasha and her mum, both working behind the bar!!

The Union Theatre as a venue is an experience and proves that good theatre can be produced anywhere.

Now to the production, I should start with a summary - AMAZING! I have never been a great G&S fan but was advised that this production was a 'must see!' - what an understatement. It has been many years since I have felt an electic buzz from going to the theatre. I could continue for pages, but from direction to performance this production is inspirational and what I believe live theatre should be about.

I will be returning with friends before the end of the run to see it again!!

    Union Theatre - Thank you!!!

  6. We loved the intimate atmosphere of the Union Theatre and the feeling that one was involved with the whole performance . The Recognition of Shakuntala has great pace and, especially in the second act, great pathos. From a play by Kalidasa that should have lasted for four hours the director, Tarek Iskander , has produced a tighter two hour drama that is a mixture of verse and prose and is strangely absorbing. Guy Moore was particularly strong in his four roles and the cast worked hard to deliver an intense performance.

  7. The Union is a true rarity it is a wonderfully atmospheric space that is run so well by people with a real passion for theatre. We have seen several shows at the Union the production values are consistently excellent the performances are as good and often better than those in the West End...no need for TV Celebs here! The ticket prices charged genuinely make theatre accessible.. we love it!

  8. Saw my first show at the Union Theatre on Friday night - Sweeney Todd. A wonderfully atmospheric theatre with a very helpful and friendly staff. The location of the theatre (underneath a railway arch) is ideally suited to Sweeney Todd and at times I felt like I was back in VIctorian England. A thoroughly enjoyable production that I would heartily recommend. I will certainly go to see other shows there.
